Deal activity by volume related to robotics increased by 153% year-on-year in 2022 in the power industry

Analysis of the key themes driving deal activity reveals that robotics accounted for 142 power deals between 2018 and 2022, worth a total value of $14,074m, according to GlobalData’s Deals database covering mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture financing, equity offerings and partnerships.  

The $653m venture financing secured by Enel and issued European Investment Bank was the largest disclosed deal in 2022, while the $18m equity offering by Airtouch Solar was the largest disclosed deal in 2021.  

In volume terms, robotics related deal activity increased by 153% year-on-year in 2022 and decreased by 53% year-on-year in 2021.
