Our patented approach to measuring variations in air flow has resulted in OFS 2000 series becoming the air/gas/steam flow monitoring system of choice for industrial applications.
OFS 2000 optical flow sensors measure the passage of air, gas or steam through a light beam. The scintillation variance is detected, analyzed, and velocity calculated. With this non-contacting, non-interfering approach, the sensors are completely isolated from the flow media. This unique type of measurement (certified by NIST) requires no periodic calibration. Embedded diagnostics and constant self-test guarantee superior accuracy and reliability while assuring almost maintenance –free operation.
Along with superior performance, OFS 2000 can now report volumetric or mass flow along with velocity by including smart temperature and pressure sensor input. Note: This feature can be retrofitted to any OFS model, either on-site or in our factory.
To match installation flexibility, OFS 2000 can connect to any common communication format. MODBUS RTU networking capability is included with 4-20 mA current loop, RS-232 /-485, and Ethernet data interface for easy integration into existing platforms.
