Welcome to the latest issue of Future Power Technology magazine
This month, we ask what happens when a renewable power source is driven by unsustainable means. The fact that wind turbines, solar panels and hydropower dams rely on exactly the kind of carbon-emitting construction processes, whose effects they aim to minimise, limits the overall effectiveness of even the most ambitious renewable power projects.
Elsewhere, we speak to Divert about its work in minimising environmental damage, while also limiting food waste in the US, and consider the future of distributed power, the process of generating electricity through a number of small-scale, local facilities that each look to power a particular area.
We also look into the history of allegations made against hugely influential power player Adani, and ask what the future could bring as investors pull out of the company’s green power projects.
For all this and more, read on.
