Pakal Dul Hydroelectric Project

Project type: Hydroelectric project (HEP) 

Owner: Chenab Valley Power Projects

Capacity: 1GW 

Estimated to cost Rs81.12bn ($1.18bn), the Pakal Dul HEP project will be the biggest hydroelectric project in the state and its first storage project. It is part of the prime minister’s Development Package for the J&K region.

Witznitz Energy Park

Location: Saxony Province, Germany 

Project type: Solar park 

Developer: Hansainvest Real assets 

Transmission capacity: 650MW  

The Witznitz Energy Park, featuring more than 1.1 million solar modules, exemplifies the successful shift from coal mining to renewable energy production in the region. The project commenced in 2022 and officially inaugurated in July 2024.

Delfini Solar Project

Location: Prosotsani, Greece 

Project type: Solar photovoltaic park 

Developer: Cero Generation 

Capacity: 100MW 

The Delfini Solar Project is the first renewable project in Greece to benefit from the Next Generation EU Recovery and Resilience Facility. The project commenced in 2022 and achieved commercial operation in September 2024.
