Welcome to this edition of Future Power Technology. ​​​​​​​

The winds cannot blow in your favour forever. In this edition of Future Power Technology, we look at the flawed turbines that have led to big costs for Siemens Energy.  

On other tides, we examine how the shipping industry must change to decarbonise, and how the power industry must change to help it. Alternative fuels are only part of the conversation, as traditions and technology must progress to fight climate change. 

But moving in the opposite direction, Indonesia seeks to increase its green credentials by changing the meaning of “green”. We look at the risk to FDI from an increasingly polluting power system, the efforts that created an almost net-zero grid, and explain the technology behind the grids of the future.
