Producing power is one matter, but storing it is a different challenge entirely. Critics of renewables point to the fact that the wind doesn’t always blow and the sun doesn’t always shine, so storing, distributing, and managing the energy produced by these sources is a key step in the transition from renewables being a neat innovation to the cornerstone of the world’s energy mix.
