Navigating the Energy Transition

An estimated 600 GW of renewable energy, 50 million electric cars and 50 million heat pumps must be integrated into the European power grids by 2030. All technologically feasible, but the factors of time, money, resources and regulation also play a role in the solution.

Over the coming years, the expansion, digitalization and flexibilization of the grids will play a vital role when it comes to integrating millions of distributed energy resources (DER) as well as guaranteeing a reliable 24/7 power supply. From May 7–9, 2025, EM-Power Europe will be showcasing innovative technologies for a 24/7 climate-neutral energy supply to grid operators, utility companies, project developers, service providers and deci-sion makers from industry, commerce and real estate.

The exhibition will be accompanied by the EM-Power Europe Conference, which will focus on the smart integration of decentralized renewable energy systems, grid management, digitalization and integration of flexibility, which, among other things, depends on the participation of end users. In six sessions, the conference will address the main issues and discuss them with relevant stakeholders from all across Europe. ChargeUp Europe, E.DSO, Eurelectric, GEODE and smartEn will be participating as session partners.

Three other energy exhibitions – Intersolar Europe, ees Europe and Power2Drive Europe – will take place in parallel to EM-Power Europe, providing the framework for exchange between the solar, storage and e-mobility sectors. They are all part of The smarter E Europe, Europe’s largest alliance of exhibitions for the energy industry, at Messe München.
