The global power industry experienced flat growth in the sentiment expressed in company filings in Q4 2022 compared with the previous quarter, according to GlobalData’s analysis of over 615 power company filings.
GlobalData’s Company Filings Analytics applies sentiment weight to reference sentences, based on whether the sentences are positive, negative or neutral. Starting at 100 in 2020, an index over 100 is more positive, and reflects the general tone of company releases.
Notably, in Q4 2022 there was flat growth in the average sentiment value, remaining steady at 0.64, as was the case in Q3 2022. This followed on from a 2% quarter-on-quarter decrease between Q2 and Q3 of last year.
